Live Voice Chat
Visit http://www.hearme.com and request they send you the code to their
voice chat client. They will email you a bit of code that looks like this:
 |
HELP
|
| To talk live to other people, you need to upgrade to Netscape 4.08
or later, Internet Explorer 4.0 or later, or AOL 4.0 or later.
|
|
|
You then take this code and paste it to notepad and save your file as
something.htm.
Then you put something htm anywhere on the web and have your students visit
the url. As long as everyone has a 4.0+ browser and a mic they can talk
away. A nice feature is you can also write if you wish.
There are other chat clients that achieve the same effect but none that I am
aware of as simply.
If you plan to do this, please visit hearme.com and register with them, so
as to obtain the VoicePresence(tm) agreement mentioned in their code.
