Weekend Television Programs
Television programs on weekends are different from those on
weekdays. Cartoons for children are broadcast on Saturday mornings.
On Sunday mornings, religious programs and cartoons are broadcast.
In the afternoons on weekends, sports events and sports-related programs
are often shown. News programs are shown at around 6 o'clock and at
either 10:00 or 11:00 every evening. Evening programs on the weekends
are similar to those shown on weekdays. Since people tend to go out on
Saturday nights, networks show major programs such as famous movies on
Sundays rather than on Saturdays. Many Americans enjoy weekend television
programs.
